O protetor de mancal (also known internationally as a "bearing isolator") is an industrial sealing device designed to protect bearings and lubricant inside a bearing housing against external contamination and leaks. These use a contactless technology, that is, they create a labyrinth path that physically blocks the entry of dust, water, or chemicals while retaining oil or grease inside the equipment.
